Tibetan Singing Bowls

Tibetan Singing Bowls used for meditation and sound healing

Every singing bowl we sell includes a wood striker, even if the striker is not shown in the photo.

Tibetan singing bowls are called singing bowls because they can be made to sing. The concept of singing bowls is the same as making a wine glass hum with your fingers. There are two ways to play a Tibetan singing bowl, by striking the outside of the bowl with the mallet (preferably a soft mallet or leather mallet), and rubbing the striker around the outside of the singing bowl. Our singing bowls come in two styles, cast and hand-hammered, and all our bowls are made in Nepal. Tibetan singing bowl pillows can be used while you play the Tibetan singing bowl, but they can also be used to display your bowl on a shelf in your home. Tibetan singing bowls are beautiful as well as useful, plus they make wonderful conversation piece! Although many companies profess to sell antique singing bowls, antiques are highly regulated in Nepal and these bowls are most likely fake.

If you are looking for a singing bowl that plays a particular note, whether it is for chakra healing or just to accompany your other singing bowls, please give us a call at 1-866-446-5988 between the hours of 9-5 CST and we will play the bowls for you over the phone.

Please note: Some of the singing bowls are pictured with a stand or a pillow. These items do not come with the singing bowls, but are sold in our singing bowl accessories section. On the other hand, every singing bowl comes with a striker, mallet (even those where the striker is not pictured). We also have singing bowl gift sets available if you would like to order a complete singing bowl set. To learn more about how to play Tibetan singing bowls and how to use singing bowls for sound healing, we have two great books. Singing Bowl Exercises for Personal Harmony, and Singing Bowls, A Practical Handbook of Instruction and Use.
