The Mahakala Buddha's image is on the front of this large locket. This locket opens to reveal the Tara Buddha, in turquoise. This prayer box is made from gold, turquoise, coral, lapis lazuli, and amethyst. Underneath the top 'door' of the locket, there is a carved yin yang symbol. The om symbol and the kalachakra mantra symbol is on the back of this prayer box. This ghau is 3.75 inches long, 3.25 inches wide, and 1 inch thick. The Mahakala Buddha's face on the front of this ghau is 1.5 inches long and 2 inches wide. This is a beautiful and intricate locket, and it was handmade by artisans in Nepal.
