This set of prayer beads is made from bodhi root beads. Each bead is 10 mm. There are three small red counting beads on this mala and there is one large counting bead at the end of the mala. There are also four counting beads on the tassel, these beads are to count rotations. 108 is a significant number in both Hinduism and Buddhism. This bodhi root mala was handmade in Nepal.
